Kent Green Party has learned that Kent Council Council is investing taxpayers money in oil, arms and tobacco companies. We think this is morally repugnant and call on them to withdraw their funds and place them with ethical companies.

The ethical investment sector often outperforms non-ethical investments, yet KCC has £13.9 million invested in BAE, the world biggest arms manufacturer; £10.1 million in British American Tobacco, responsible for countless deaths and £39.0m invested in Shell, which continues to drive climate change forward.
